The following information will help you find out about all aspects of your stay at Villa Matilde, should you require any further information regarding any of the matters below, or other queries you may have about your holiday, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Accommodation
Our Villa was completely remodelled in 2019 to a high standard and we believe the information and photos on our website, facebook and Instagram pages are a true and accurate reflection of our property. Please see our floor plan for layout.

The ground floor bedroom has a superking size bed which can be separated into 2 single beds. If you require this please advise prior to your stay
​
The living area has a corner sofa that can be converted into a double bed for extra guests. If you require this please advise at time of booking so bedlinen etc can be provided.

Getting There
Our Villa is located around a 25 minutes drive from Faro airport. (16 miles) We are happy to provide details of car hire companies located at the Airport. We will email you check in details including the full address 7 days prior to your stay

Arrival / Departure
Check in time is from 4pm
Upon you arrival you will be met by our agent who looks after the Villa on our behalf. They will provide you with keys and information on the Villa. If your arrival time is outside of normal hours the keys will be located in the key safe on the outside of the property - you will be advised of the key code prior to your arrival

Check out time is 11am
Our agent will meet you at the Villa and accept the keys from you. Once the agent has checked the Villa and confirmed to us there is no damage or issues your security deposit will be refunded within 7 working days back to the method of payment you paid with.

Whats included in your stay
Prior to your arrival the Villa will be thoroughly cleaned. All utilities (electric, wifi, etc) are included in your stay. If your stay with us is more than 7 days we will offer you a change of bedding and towels at no additional cost on the 8th day.
​
All bed linen, bath towels and beach towels are also provided. We request you do not use the white bath towels for your sun loungers or to take to the beach. Coloured Beach towels are provided for this.
​
Welcome pack - we provide a small welcome pack for your stay which will include toilet rolls, tea bags, coffee pods, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets.
​
Safe - There is a safe located in the wardrobe of the master bedroom - the Safe is key operated.
Pool cleaning - Pool cleaners will check the pool daily (usually early morning) They have a key for the side gate only and will not disturb you
​
Gardening - Our gardeners will check the property weekly and turn the irrigation system on - they will advise you they are here before entering the garden/ pool area.
​
The pool cleaners and gardeners are all employed by our Management Company Exclusive Algarve
​
Air conditioning / reverse heating - All rooms have a separate air conditioning unit - These will only work if the exterior doors are kept shut, therefore please do not leave turned on and leave the patio / kitchen door open
​
Security Features
There are security cameras and the main entrance facing the gate and side entrance facing the gate that are activated when the security light comes on.

Whats not included
Additional cleans / bed linen towels - except from the above if you require any additional cleaning, bedding or towels these will be chargeable - please enquire for costs
Pool Heating - The pool has Pool heating which can be requested at a cost of £225 per week - please advise prior to your stay if you require this
Ethanol - The Villa has a fire place with open Ethanol fire. Ethanol is not included but can be purchased at an additional cost

Please ensure you have adequate Holiday Insurance prior to booking Villa Matilde
SEF forms - It is a requirement that details of paying person's staying at the Villa are provided to the Portuguese Authorities. We will request copies of passports for all guests along with full address and flight details prior to your stay

Pool Area
If you are travelling with children please ensure they are SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES around the pool area. The depths are 0.8 - 1.2M.

Guest Folder and Guest Book
There is a guest folder located at the Villa with useful information and things to do in the local area
